Wind Turbine - The Financial Benefits so far

31 March 2011 completed the first full financial year’s operation of our wind turbines which delivered fantastic results for the club. A special thank you goes to David Maxwell who has worked tirelessly over the last 2.5years with the aim of reducing the clubs energy consumption and carbon footprint. The impressive savings for the year are as follows;

Reduction in Electricity Bill due to wind turbines = c£4k

Income from wind turbines (ROC’s) = c£10k

Savings moving to Energia energy supply company = £2.5k

Net benefit to Golf Club in 2010/11 = £16.5k

Payback on wind turbines 3.5years.

The B&D Team completed their victory against Portadown on Sunday 8th May.

Fred Daly Team

The Fred Daly Team finished the job against Cushendall on Sunday 8th May and progress to the next round
